This is a catalogue of work by Doulton assistant artist Mary Aitken.
Margaret Aitken was one of the earliest designers who joined George Tinworth in his department producing decorative ceramic products for a company more used to drain pipes. She joined in about 1875 and worked there until about 1883. Her speciality was foliate designs.
We have examples of decorative work carried out by Margaret Aitken as an assistant to Louisa J. Davis.
