This is a catalogue of work by Doulton artist Elizabeth Sayers.
Elizabeth Sayers was only at the Doulton Lambeth works for a few years from about 1876 to 1883. During that short period she produced some exquisite items of early stoneware. Despite not being one of the many long service employees (many worked at Doultons for over 40 years) a number of items produced by her are illustrated in the ‘bible’ of early Doulton stoneware, Desmond Eyles’ and Louise Irvine’s "The Doulton Lambeth Wares". Works by her of superb design and craftsmanship are shown on pages 83, 89, and 127.
