A very pretty Doulton Lambeth 8.5in (21cm) biscuit barrel by Elizabeth Sayers with replated silver lid. A wide selection of coloured glazes adds significantly to the image of the barrel.
The 8.5in (21cm) biscuit barrel has the impressed Doulton Lambeth rosette and the date 1878. It is signed by Elizabeth Sayers in monogram and numbered 138 by her. It is also signed in monogram by Sayers’ assistant, Rosina Brown. The biscuit barrel weighs 1034g.
The biscuit barrel is in mint condition, with no defects. The silver rim and lid of the barrel have been re-plated, and the whole item now looks “A million Dollars”! One of the stars of the show.
