A 10in (25cm) Royal Doulton vase in Art Deco style by one of the finest craftswomen ever to work for Doultons - Jane Hurst. Jane Hurst worked with the top designers from the 1880s till the late 1920s/30s. The style of the vase relates to the work of the artist Mondriaan with rectangular patterns of differing sizes, filled in with different colours.
The vase has the impressed Royal Doulton mark with crown and lion, the series number 7408 and the incised monogram of Jane Hurst. The vase weighs 937g.
The vase is in mint condition. However the black brush-lining around the rectangles on the upper part of the vase has flaked slightly during the firing of the vase.
