A pair of excellent little (4.5" - 11cm) Doulton Lambeth vases in excellent condition. The vases are signed by Nellie Garbett and, possibly, the much respected early designer, A Cund. The vases are fascinating in the way that the small details show two different interpretations of the same design.
The vases have the impressed Doulton mark and the date 1881. One vase has the incised monogram of Nellie Garbett, and the other has anincised 'AC' possibly for A Cund, whose monoggram is not recorded. The vases weigh 410g.
The vases are visually in totally 100% mint condition, free from cracks, chips, crazing and scratches. One vase has nowever had a very small rim chip restored professionally and is now in pristine condition.
