A lovely pair of 10in (25cm) Royal Doulton Slater's Patent vases dating from the first quarter of the 20th century by a leading designer - Florence Roberts. Although a 20th century pair of vases, the style is reminiscent of the more elaborate Vicorian techniques
The vases have the impressed Royal Doulton mark with crown and lion and the Slater's Patent impressed mark. Both vases have the series number 5816. One vase is signed by Florence Roberts and both are signed by Emily Partington. The vases weigh 900-950gr each.
The vases are in excellent condition. One vase had damage to the top rim, but this has been professionally restored, and is invsible to the naked eye. One vase has a 1/2in knife scratch mark to the neck, made during manufacture, and before firing.
