An early 7.5in (19cm) Doulton Lambeth jug dated 1876 by one of the two animal specialists of the Barlow family, in mint condition. An early piece for the discerning collector.
The jug has the incised monograms of Florence Barlow and her assistant, Mary Aitken. It also has the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark with the included date of 1876. The jug weighs 758g.
The jug is in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, restoration or significant scratches. It has a couple of small firing cracks adjacent to the top of the handle. We have detailed photos of these that are available on request.
