An early (1880) mint condition Doulton Lambeth ewer by a designer (Martha Rogers) whose works are rare.
The ewer has the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark with the date 1880. It has the incised monograms of Martha Rogers and her assistant Emily Maine. The ewer is matt finished with the exception of the foliage work, and horizontal banding, which are both glazed. The ewer weighs 932g.
The vase is in excellent mint condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, restoration, or significant scratches. As the white areas are unglazed, some mnor discolouration of the white has occurred.
