An excellent condition Doulton Lambeth boot-shaped Match Holder with the impressed monogram of Harriette E E Knight, from the period 1892-1902.
The 'boot' Doulton Lambeth Match Holder has an impressed Doulton Lambeth mark with the word 'England' underneath, dating it to the period from 1892-1902. It also has an impressed 'k' showing the work of Harriette E E Knight. The silver rim is hallmarked for Chester, with a date mark for, probably, 1896.
The boot is in execellent condition, with no chips, scratching and restoration. There is a minute (approx 12mm) hairline crack inside the rim, which cannot be seen on the outside even with the silver rim temporarily removed.
