This Doulton Lambeth vase is one of Frank Butler's lovely organic shapes. Dating from the period 1892-1902 the shape exemplifies his creative genius.
The vase has the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark, with the word 'England' underneath, dating the vase ot the period 1892-1902. It also has the incised monogram of Frank Butler and his design number 196. His assistant in this vase was Ethel beard, whose monogram is underneath.
The vase has symbolic flowers at all four corners, with the petals being pushed out of the soft clay by Frank Butler with his thumb and fingers.
The vase is in mint condition. No chips, no cracks, no restoration, no crazing and no significant scratches! Superb!
