This early Doulton Lambeth 5.5" Siliconware vase dates from pre-1892. It features the familiar Eliza Simmance characteristics of 'cracked ice' patterns and mosaic decoration.
The vase is marked with the Doulton lambeth Silicon impressed mark, without the word 'ENGLAND', dating the vase to the period before 1892. The vase also has the entangled 'ES' monogram of Eliza Simmance, her design number 227 and the impressed marks of Louisa Wakeley and Laura Green.
The vase is in immaculate condition. It has no cracks, crazing, or significant scratches, but a few minute areas of the blue 'feathers' have been restored where areas were missing. The restoration is impossible to detect. It is now, 'as new'.
