This mint condition 8" (20cm) Royal Doulton Vera Huggins vase appears to be a unique item as it has no design number. It is almost certainly one of her earliest works at Doultons. The vase is totally uncharacteristic in that it is both tubelined and has an animalia subject.
This mint condition 8" (20cm) Royal Doulton Vera Huggins vase appears to be a unique item as it has no design number. It is almost certainly one of her earliest works at Doultons. The vase is totally uncharacteristic in that it is both tubelined and has an animalia subject.
The vase is signed with the incised monograms of both Vera Huggins and her assistant, Florrie Jones. It has the impressed Doulton mark with lion, but no design number. =The pattern with flowers and a feeding bird is repeated four times round the vase.
The vase is in perfect condition, without chips, cracks, crazing restoration or significant scratches.
