A striking 7" Art Deco Royal Doulton vase by one of Doulton's early 20th century's most meticulous ceramic artists - Maud Bowden - in mint condition.

The vase with its four inverted heart shaped motifs, has the impressed Doulton mark with lion, the impressed series number 8218, and the incised monogram of Maud Bowden. Maud Bowden worked for Doultons for 34 years from 1903 to 1937, and although she was by no means one of the longest serving of Doulton's ceramic artists, her quality was of the finest.

The vase is in mint condition, without chips, cracks, crazing, restoration or even significant scratches. The colour rendering of the illustrations make the grey/green areas look more grey than the actual vase.
