This mint condition 8.5" (21cm) Royal Doulton vase by Leslie Harradine is one of the new shapes, produced by him in the early years of the 20th Century, that were not circular.
Leslie Harradine started work at Lambeth in 1902, aged 15, and became one of their most imaginative and successful designers. He produced a range of shapes from square, to rectangular, and hexagonal to octagonal. This shape of 8.5" vase is illustrated in Desmond Eyles' 'The Doulton Lambeth Wares' on p216. The vase has the Royal Doulton impressed mark and the incised monogram of Leslie Harradine.
The vase is in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, scratches, crazing or restoration.
