A pretty tubelined Art Nouveau Royal Doulton jug in mint condition by one of the leading ceramic artists of the early 20th century - Jane Hurst.

This 8,5" (21cm) stoneware Royal Doulton jug, has the impressed Royal Doulton mark with lion dating the jug to later than 1922, the signature of Jane Hurst, and the series number 8525. Jane Hurst, with Bessie Newbery and Florrie Jones, can be relied on to produce the best quality items in the first quarter of the 20th century. Tubelining was dominant in the very first years of the 20th century. Brush-lining then predominated, but in the later 1920's and 1930's tubelining returned.

The jug is in perfect condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing restroration, or even scratches. Top quality in perfect condition!
