A small (6.25" -26cm) silver rimmed Royal Doulton vase by Ethel Beard of superb quality that epitomises the Art Nouveau period. The vase brings to mind the works of Mucha and Erte, in terms of its shape, colour and opulance.
The elegant vase has the impressed Doulton Mark with Crown and Lion and the series number 1794 It also has the incised monogram of Ethel Beard. The hallmarked silver rim was made by G Betjamen and Sons, and is dated London 1903.
This Ethel Beard vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, restoration, or even scratches.
