A 5" Royal Doulton tubelined vase from the 1930s with a band of floral decoration, by Maud Bowden.
This vase dates from the 1930s. Tubelined vases flourished in the period before the 1st World War. This was followed by a period where brushlining dominated, but in the 1930s tubelined vases with floral decoration were the popular choice. This vase has the impressed Doulton Mark with Lion, dating it to a period after 1923. The vase has the incised monogram of Maud Bowden and the series numbers 1687 and X8742Y.
The vase is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks crazing or restoration. I cannot even find a scratch!
