A pair of impressive large (10") Royal Doulton Art Nouveau vases by Florrie Jones and Lily Partington each with four applied decorative panels.
The vase probably date from the beginning of the 20th Century, when the highly elaborate Gothic and Victorian styles gave way to the 'easier-to-produce' tubelined methods of decoration. A reference to page 199 of Desmond Eyles' "The Doulton Lambeth Wares' will show similar designs of this period. Many of these designs were made for amny years, and the actual date of manufacture can only be guessed at. Both vase have the impressed Doulton Mark with Crown and Lion and the design number 8113. One has the monogram of Florrie Jones and the other has the monogram of Lily Partington.
Both vase are in excellent order with no chips, cracks, crazing, or restoration.
