Doulton Lambeth tall elegant stoneware vase from the last decade of the 19th century, by Emily Partington.
The vase has the Doulton Lambeth mark with 'England' dating the vase to the period 1891-1902. It also has the incised monogram of Emily Partington. The detail on the vase is still Victorian in feel, even though it comes from a period when the Art Nouveau influence had started. The colours are strong and deep and the applied detail owes nothing to shapes from nature.
The vase is in excellent order with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.
