A pair of large striking Doulton Lambeth 11" (27.5cm) stoneware vases from the end of the 19th century by one of Doulton's leading ceramic artists, Florrie Jones.
If you look on page 178 of Desmond Eyles' 'The Doulton Lambeth Wares', you will see a vase just like these: they're a different colour, but the design is exactly the same. Desmond Eyles dates them to about 1890. These two have the Doulton Lambeth mark with 'England', and so must be post-1891. As well as a host of other marks, the vases have the early monogram of Florrie Jones, and one has the impressed mark of Amy George.
These two large (11") vases are both in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, crazing or restoration.
