An Art Nouveau Royal Doulton stoneware bowl 23cm in diameter and 9cm tall by Minnie Webb - X8200.
This Art Nouveau style bowl dates more from the Art Deco period. The backstamp is the Doulton Circle mark with Lion that started in 1922, and it has the monogram of Minnie Webb. It probably dates from the 1930s. The style of the bowl contrasts with the elaborate detail of Victorian times: simple design, simple pattern, simple colours.
The bowl has no cracks, chips, crazing or restoration, and is in excellent condition but the glaze on the inside of the bowl shows porosity - see photo.
