A 7.5cm tall Doulton Lambeth stoneware jardiniere with late Victorian decoration.
This l1ttle jardiniere has almost Gothic style decoration. It can be dated by the use of the Doulton Lambeth Circle mark with 'England' impressed underneath: this dates it to 1891-1902. It also has the marks of Elsie S Thomas, Clara Baker, and Eleanor Tosen. The style of the decoration represents the transition fom High-Victorian Gothic to the simpler lines of the early 20th century.
The jardiniere is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, crazing or restoration.
