Two very similar large Royal Doulton tall (31/32cm) stoneware Art Nouveau vases with tube-lined rose motifs - 7816A.
These two impressive vases are not quite a pair. One vase is about 1cm taller than the other, at 32cm tall. Also the colours of the vases are slightly different: a careful inspection of the photos will reveal this. They both have the same design number, the impressed Doulton Circle mark with Crown and Lion underneath, and the monogram of Christine Abbott. One also has the impressed 'r' of Letitia Rosevear. Probably designed in the period 1905-1910, they must have been made after 1914, the date when Christine Abbott started at Doultons.
These examples are both in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, restorations or crazing.
