This 18.5cm Royal Doulton stoneware vase is signed by two leading artists, designer, Vera Huggins, and ceramic artist, Florrie Jones.
The vase, from the Art Deco period, has the impressed Doulton circle Mark with Lion - 1922 onwards - and the monograms of both the designer and the ceramic artist. Vera Huggins arrived at Doultons in 1923 after exhibiting at the Royal Academy, and achieved great success. The vase almost certainly dates from the 1930s. As it has no impressed design number underneath, it is possible that this is a unique vase.
It has, regretabley, two small chips to the base.
