A mint condition tyg probably given to celebrate a silver wedding anniversary or 25th birthday. If your name is "Gale" that's splendid. If it isn't please turn the inscription to the wall!
A 9in (22.5cm) Royal Doulton three handled tyg with the impressed Royal Doulton mark. The tyg is signed by the designer, F C Pope, and his assistant, Bessie Newbery. The tyg was probably given as a silver wedding present, and has a relevant medallion on one side (see photo No5). Please press "ZOOM ENTRY" to see photo No5.It probably dates from the date inscribed on the tyg - 1915. The tyg weighs 1650g.
The tyg is in mint condition though the only defect is a small and unobtrusive firing crack under each handle.
