This is the Rolls Royce of cruets! Solid silver stand, solid silver mounts, stand marked with the Mappin and Webb impressed mark. All that and in good condition. It has had a little bit of tlc, but is now in splendid condition.

All metalwork is solid silver. The pepper and mustard pot have the Doulton Lambeth impressed mark, and are signed in monogram by Frances E Lee, and dated 1881. The salt has no monogram, but it does have the date and impressed Doulton Lambeth mark. The stand/cradle is hallmarked silver and has a Mappin and Webb impressed mark. The cruet weighs 393g.

The salt had been broken into a small number of pieces, but it has been professionally and perfectly restored and is now in splendid condition. All silver has been re-polished, but in some places still shows the signs of salt corrosion. The stand/cradle/has been re-polished and is in first condition. The salt has been re-polished, but the finish of the lower part of the bowl has some scratches and shows sign of the effect of salt corrosion. All mounts have some minor imperfections in the finish due to corrosion, but are in generally very good condition.
