Who thought this was Hannah Barlow? For a period in her early life at Doultons, Florence was crafting vases and jugs in the same manner as her elder sister. Would Hannah have been proud of this one? I guess that she would!
An 8in (19.5cm) Doulton Lambeth lemonade jug, with the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark and the date 1876. It is signed in monogram by Florence E Barlow and her assistant, Rosina Brown. The vase weighs 836g.
The jug is in excellent condition. Five small chips to the base rim have been professionally and invisibly restored.
