One of two 3-piece tea sets by Edith Kemp we have catalogued - each one the same size, each one delightful, but each one a completely different example of the decorative art of the designer. The teapot measures 9.25in (23cm) “tip-to-toe”. Each piece with silver plated rim, has the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark, and the date of 1880. Each is signed by Edith Kemp, and her assistant, Rosina Brown. The 3-piece tea set weighs 929g.
The teapot has a ‘star’ hairline firing crack on the inside only. It does not extend to the outside.
