Art Nouveau from Royal Doulton comes no better than this pair of vases. If you want the best available, then this is it! If the underside is to be believed, then Eliza Simmance had no help from her assistants - the maestro did it all.
The 12.75in (32cm) vases have the impressed Royal Doulton mark with crown and lion. They are signed in monogram by Eliza Simmance, numbered 233 and code-dated ‘p’ for 1915. They have no assistant’s marks, suggesting that they were all the work of Eliza Simmance herself.
