Two for one! Beautifully decorated on both sides the flask is a showpiece for the brilliance and versatility of one of the finest designers that Doulton ever had.
The Doulton Lambeth 8.25in (21cm) moon flask has the impressed Doulton Silicon Lambeth mark, with the date of 1885.It is signed in monogram by Eliza Simmance, and numbered 194. The moon flask weighs 761g.
The only physical damage to the flask was a chip to each of the rims. A few minor firing cracks in the decoration have been filled for cosmetic reasons. On the floral face, there is a 2mm glaze bubble.
