Top rims silver plated – quite normal. Top and bottom rims silver plated – very rare. Two charming little multi-purpose vases that with the rims re-plated are now in stunning eye-catching condition.
A pair of 5in (12cm) Doulton Lambeth vases with silver plated upper and lower rims. They are signed by Eliza Simmance and her assistant, Bessie Newbery. Both are dated 1887, and numbered 699. The vases weigh 548g.
The silver plated upper and lower rims have been re-plated, and are now in sparkling ‘as-new’ condition. There is a slight colour variation between the two vases.
