The Royal Doulton preserve pot breaks new ground. Decorative qualities had been the sole order of the day at Doultons for decades, but here is Vera Huggins adding functionality to the repertoire. Unlike many of Vera Huggins’ designs, this one was made in quantity and intended to be used as an everyday decorative item.
The 4.25in (11cm) preserve pot has the impressed Royal Doulton mark and the series number 8677. It is signed by both the designer Vera Huggins and her assistant, Florrie Jones. The preserve pot weighs 309g.
The preserve pot is free of all chips, cracks, and restorations.
