A pair of 8.25in (21cm) vases by Eliza Simmance, when an elderly lady, who had trained in Victorian design 40 years before. Two superb Royal Doulton vases, and what a transformation from her early work – pure genius!
The vases have the Royal Doulton impressed mark with crown and lion. They are signed in monogram by both Eliza Simmance and her assistant Jane Hurst. They are code dated (“k”) for 1910 and numbered 451. The vases weigh about 900g each.
The vases are in mint condition, with no defects or restoration.
