Florence Roberts worked with such great names as Eliza Simmance and Hannah Barlow in the 1880s and 1890s, but you would never have known it from this elegant and simple design of hers produced probably in the mid/late 1920s. It is interesting to see how the style of a designer can alter to follow the current trends.
This 10.5in (21cm) vase, weighing 766g, has the Royal Doulton impressed mark with lion only, dating the vase to post 1922. It is signed in monogram by both Florence C Roberts, and her assistant, Jane Hurst.
