This 30cm (12in) Royal Doulton vase is one of the latest in the collection. It colours, its shape, and the decoration are clearly from the Art Deco period. Vera Huggins uses plain blocks of bright colours, all outlined in a contrasting colour, just like her contemporaries such as Clarice Cliffe.

The vase has the impressed Doulton mark with crown and lion and the series number 5510. It is signed in monogram by Vera Huggins and her assistant, Florrie Jones. The vase weighs 1600g.

The vase is in mint condition, with no cracks, chips, crazing, restoration or significant scratches. There is a small area (approx 1.5cm by 0.5cm) at the base of the vase that has not been covered by the coloured glaze.
