A very fine pair of 19cm (7.7in) vases by the great man and still in the condition that they were in when he finished them – what a joy! Some of the very best things still come in small packages.
The vases both have the incised monograms of George Tinworth and his assistant Mary Ann Thomson. They have the Doulton Lambeth impressed mark, with the date 1876, included in the Doulton mark.The vases weigh a total of 951g.
The vases are in excellent condition, without chips cracks crazing or restoration.
