A pair of 6in (15cm) Royal Doulton Art Deco vases probably dating from the 1920s by one of the finest decorators that Doulton ever had - Bessie Newbery. As this double-gourd shape seems to have been the exclusive province of Bessie Newbery, it is likely that she was also the designer. The vase have the impressed Royal Doulton mark with crown and lion, the series number 8007, and the incised monogram of Bessie Newbery who wad likely to be the designer. The vases weighs 853g.
The vases are in the condition in which they left the kiln! No chips,bcracks, crazing, restoration, or significant scratches.
