This stunningly beautiful Royal Doulton stoneware vase was, deservedly, part of the famous Richard Dennis 1975 Ehbition. Segmented into eight equal divisions, this vase straddles the transition between the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements: purple and green in colour, it also contains the solid geometric shapes of one colour of the Art Deco movement.
The vase has the Royal Doulton impressed mark with Crown and Lion, the monogram of Margaret E Thompson, with her number 45, the incised monogram of her assisitant 'LB', and the Doulton Series number 694. The vaseweighs 1235g.
The vase is in totally original condition. It has a glaze pin-prick to one purple segment - see photos.
