A mint condition pair of 21cm (8.25in) Art Deco Royal Doulton stoneware vases by one of the finest decorators ever to work at Doultons. We believe the vases to be a Harry Simeon design. The geometric panels at the top of the vase would indicate a date of the 1920s - right at the end of Bessie Newbery's career at Doultons, that lasted for over 40 years. A very decorative pair of vases.
The vases have the Royal doulton impressed mark with crown and lion, and the series number 7903. They are both signed in monogram by Bessie Newbery. The vases weigh 1550g.
The vases are in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, restoration or significant scratches.
