An early circular Doulton Lambeth 5in (12.5cm) dish with silver plated lid and handle in excellent condition.
The lidded dish has the Doulton Lambeth impressed mark, the date 1883, and the incised monogram of Elizabeth Shelley. The lid, collar and handle are silver plated. The lidded dish weighs 543g.
The ceramic component, is in totally mint condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. The silver plated circular collar and handle are in similarly good condition. But, the exterior of the lid shows some signs of wear and pitting.
