This Royal Doulton lamp epitomises the Art Deco period - a bold colour, with modern lines. Both the shape and the colour have been reduced to the simple geometric blocks of the Art Deco period.
The 38cm (14.75in) lamp base has the impressed Royal Doulton mark, the incised monogram of Leslie Harradine and Harradine’s design number H50. The lamp base is not sold as a working lamp, as the electrical fittings have not been checked. However we see no reason at all why the lamp cannot be returned to full working order. The lamp base weighs 2411g.
The ceramic component of the lamp base is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, restoration or significant scratches.
