A charming little Doulton Lambeth matched duo of teapot and sugar bowl that is patently designed to be decorative rather than functional. To find a teapot with its sugar basin is a delight.
The teapot and sugar bowl have the impressed Doulton Lambeth mark and the date 1886. They are both signed in monogram by Frances E Lee, and have her design number 611. The teapot is approx 11cm (4.5in) tall and measures approx 21cm (8.5in) from spout to handle. The sugar bowl is 8cm (3.25in) tall and measures 10.5cm (4.25in) in diameter. The teapot and sugar bowl weigh a total of 810g.
