An imposing 32cm (12.75in) Royal Doulton Art Nouveau vase, probably designed by Harry Simeon, with a bold pattern of varied colours within boundaries of tubelining.
The vase has the impressed Royal Doulton mark with crown and lion, the design number 7822A, and the incised mongram of Florrie Jones. The vase weighs 1727g.
The vase is in mint condition, but has small firing flaws that we have tried to show clearly on the photos. There is a speckled discolouration to the shoulder of the vase - see photo No2. There is a small area on the green under the rim where the glaze has not taken. Some of the grey glaze has a slight 'orange peel' effect. None of these relatively small firing faults undermine the impact of such a large vase.
