This mint condition Doulton Lambeth vase dates from Eliza Simmance’s middle period at Doulton. All the decoration is incised or impressed into the surface, and as a result of more colours of glaze being available, the vase is more lively than her earliest work.
The vase, weighing 582g, is 21cm (8.5in) tall. It has the Doulton Lambeth impressed mark with the word ‘ENGLAND’ underneath, indicating a date of 1892-1902. It is signed in monogram by Eliza Simmance and is numbered 675.
The vase is in perfect condition, with no cracks, chips, crazing, restoration, or significant scratches.
