This pair of square 9.25in (23cm) Royal Doulton vases probably date from the second decade of the 20th century. Together with Leslie Harradine, Pope experimented with vases of shapes other than the traditional round form.
The vase have the Royal Doulton impressed mark with the series number 8049. One is signed in monogram by Francis C Pope, and both are signed by his assistant Chistine Abbott. The vases weighs 1473g
The vases are in exceptional condition. Apart from one small glaze flake approx 3mm by 3mm, underneath one vase, they are in 100% mint condition.
