A beautiful 9in (22.5cm) Doulton Lambeth vase decorated in a variety of styles, mosaic, pate-sur-pate, and incised patterns. Dated 1887, it shows the sophistication that Doulton had achieved in the 20 years since George Tinworth started the decorative products part of the Doulton empire.
The vase has the impressed Doulton Lambeth rosette with the date 1887. It is signed by Edith Lupton in monogram, with her design number 140, and by two unknown assistants. The vase weighs 937g.
The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, restoration or significant scratches.
