The ewer has the impressed Royal Doulton mark, with crown and lion and the series number 7816J. It is signed in monogram by Jane Hurst. The ewer weighs 680g.
The ewer is in mint condition, with no cracks, chips, crazing, restoration or significant scratches. The matching ewer has approx 30% of the base rim missing. This does not prevent effective display, as all the missing rim is on one side of a line through the handle and spout.
