This stunningly eye-catching pair of Royal Doulton 8in (20cm) stoneware vases is Art Nouveau at its best. By the early 20th century, the available colours of glazes had increased enormously and here Florrie Jones showed no restraint. The design is illustrated on p217 of Desmond Eyles’ and Louise Irvine’s 'The Doulton Lambeth Wares'.
The vases have the impressed Doulton mark with Crown and Lion, the series mark 7851 and the incised monogram of Florrie Jones. The vases weigh 1421g.
The vases are in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, restoration or significant scratches.
