These charming little 5.5in (14cm) Royal Doulton stoneware vases look as if they are straight from the kiln, with not so much as scratch on them. Although signed by different artists they are a very well matched pair. The high-gloss glaze would indicate thay they were made in the 1920s/1930s.
The vases have the impressed Royal Doulton mark with crown and lion and the series number 6229. One is signed by Marion Holbrook, and the other by an artist CP, who despite being unrecorded, did a wonderful job of keeping to the designated decoration pattern. The vases weigh 533g.
The vase are in mint condition, without chips, cracks, crazing, restoration, scratches, or even firing cracks.
